Is too much calcium harmful?

I bought purina layena food for my 3 month old chickens to get them ready for laying but will the amount of calcium harm them?

Welcome!
Your youngsters should be eating a chick feed or an all-flock feed still. Layer feed is meant for actively laying hens only, and was designed for small breed hens like Leghorns who are in confinement eating nothing else.
So this isn't the best choice for them, especially not now.

They need to stay on a chick or grower feed until they are laying consistently. They need the extra protein and vitamins in the chick/grower for proper development.

I never feed a layer feed. I buy Grower finisher feed and supply Oyster shell once a week to my layers.
