I decided that today I was moving all my 6-10 week old chicks out into the run and coop. Their mess in the brooder was so much I couldn't keep with the amount of waste they were making, the uric acid was so strong even with 2 powerful air purifiers that my eyes were tearing.
The younger chicks adapted quickly and after a couple of hours they were eating, playing and making lots of happy sounds.
My oldest though, a 10 week old crested legbar, is acting weak all of a sudden after I moved her. She won't get up and is panting like she is hot, yet it's been upper 70s today with overcast and wind. I got her to eat a little from my hand and she looks around alert but will not get up. Is she in shock from being in the house for that long?
