You can't be "certified organic" if you use treated wood, but good luck finding organic feed anyway. Personally, I can't imagine how treated wood could hurt a chicken unless you allow them to free range where you sawed the wood, where they could eat the sawdust. I've never seen a chicken gnaw on a 2 x 4.
