Hi All,
I'm a newbie with 4 chickens in a suburban area. Hens are okay here in town, but roosters are not. We got these chicks around Easter time, so we're between 13 and 15 weeks. Wanda/Waldo is one of two light Brahmas. (We also have a RIR and a Goldstar, both definitely female.) S/he is the biggest one with the most defined comb and definitely the dominate one. We've noticed a crow-like noise coming from the coop in the morning if we are not quick enough to open the door. We're hoping she's just a little older so we don't have to find a new home or make chicken stew! Here's the pic.
