Is what you WEAR an object of your chicken's interest?

Okay, so I went out to feed them today with some colorful painted toenails.

The big toe captain (lol, Seinfeld reference) had red and white respectively, and #2 were yellow and blue (I didn't have a decent green paint) on each foot.

...The poults went for the YELLOW toenail! Very interesting! I thought the red would be the winner for sure.

It also seems like they were very friendly in the beginning, but as they became fuller, became more standoffish... Perhaps it has something to do with weather and hunger, not neccesarily color. I'm sure if I didn't do this everyday, they'd be much more willing to get closer for some long overdue food!! (As stated, they are wild free-roaming, so me not giving food would not starve or malnourish them-- I'm not cruel!!)

When I wear a light blue shirt, some of the girls will fly up and want to sit on my shoulders or head.

I don't understand it, but I think its funny.

I usually wear sneakers or flip flops to the hen house with out any interest at all from the chicklets. This morning i was out in the veg. garden and because of the heavy dew I was wearing my very attractive big black rubber boots. When I went into the hen house to fill their feeder they all came in then turned and all ran out. They were looking at me like I was from Mars

I could only assume it was the boots. Silly little things

Mine go crazy trying to rip my wedding band off my finger. I think they are jealous of my wife and they just want me all to themselves.

Oh and hawiian floral print shirts are a big no-no in the coop, they try and jump on my back to get to the flowers...

I gotta say they are some of the smartest dumb arse animals I have ever been around.

That and I no longer wear flipflops in the coop anymore, they go straight for my toes..

FYI I'm a guy, Daisy_dukers is my dog...
