Is white and red feathering exclusive to roos?

I have 2 “olive eggers” (who knows if that’s what these even are) that are looking more cockerel than pullet. I posted about the barred one there and everyone said roo. Then someone chimed in and said the white and multicolored one is also a roo because white and red is exclusive to males. Is this accurate? I figured since they’re mutts they can be any color combination. Thanks!

White and red isn't exclusive to cockerels... The red wingbars and the bright coloring is a male exclusive pattern. Typically with chickens, the more brightly colored, the more likely to be male.
With those green legs, he is either an olive egger or an easter egger.

Edit: I should add, that the coloring thing is especially true when you're talking about mixes, such as easter eggers or olive eggers.

I agree! Both chicks are cockerels

Thanks for the reply. This is what I get for buying from a backyard breeder. She swore up and down they were both pullets. I even questioned the red in that one because I knew that was more of a typical male presentation. Nope, still told me they were girls! 😑

Sorry about that.
Some back yard breeders are really good, I got two araucana from a back yard breeder before and they're pretty good quality. I'm sorry this happened though.
Did you get them as chicks? or more recently?

Recently! Like 2 weeks ago!

I won’t be buying from her again! End of story!
Yeah.
That’s no good.
Is the little slate gray bird your only female?
She can’t stay that way....those two hormonal young males will...um, there’s no way to sugarcoat it....rape her to death.
