Is white and red feathering exclusive to roos?

Yeah.
That’s no good.
Is the little slate gray bird your only female?
She can’t stay that way....those two hormonal young males will...um, there’s no way to sugarcoat it....rape her to death.
And, I want you to update us on that little red and white guy. His patterning is so masculine, but something makes me doubt....I’m almost sure it’s male, but I’ve seen weirdly patterned red/white/silver female mutts before. The dappling is so even...and the comb is so small.

Oh no! This is a temporary holding place. They’re just in quarantine from my main coop!

I hate to agree, somebody knew you had males... especially with the coloring of the white one. Unless they are REALLY inexperienced.

BTW, I'm the same person who brought this all up on FB when you were asking about the other bird. Just so you didn't think you were talking to somebody else.

Okay, great. She’ll be okay then. They’re not quite old enough to harass her yet. Hormones will start soon. How old did you say they are?

Never mind, I see saddles coming in. Yeah, he‘s male.

White and red isn't exclusive to cockerels... The red wingbars and the bright coloring is a male exclusive pattern. Typically with chickens, the more brightly colored, the more likely to be male.
With those green legs, he is either an olive egger or an easter egger.

Edit: I should add, that the coloring thing is especially true when you're talking about mixes, such as easter eggers or olive eggers.
I hope I didn’t come across as being rude with the “chiming in” part! I’m pretty annoyed by the fact I was sold these beautiful roos. I have 3 others from chicks and now I’m going to have to make the difficult decision on which ones have to go 😢

2-4 months is all the lady said to me. Couldn’t give me a for sure

No No! It was quite alright... I just wanted to make sure the 'air was clear' in the sense of you knew you were talking to the same person. I didn't want to hide behind my screen name.

i really wouldn’t have known if you hadn’t said something. I do appreciate you letting me know. I’m new to chickens so my own naivety allowed this to happen also. I won’t fully blame the woman who sold them to me. I at least got a pretty lavender Orpington and a wheaten maran out of the deal lol
