We only have 1 day left of the winter break and then it is time for the kids to head back to school and dh to work.Once we get to March I will be feeling better.And in April I will be picking up my seedlings from the county soil and water.I am getting nut and berry trees this year plus some pines since they are so cheap. I already placed 2 seed orders.Now I just need to figure out what parts of my yard to dig up to make room for everything.It is snowing and last I checked it was 13 degrees outside.I keep telling dh I want to move somewhere with a longer growing season.Maybe going to the local pool would help me and the kids shake the winter blues.Almost time to check on the hens for the night.

I too am up to my ears in seed catalogs. Its the only thing keeping me sane right now.
After Christmas I am ready for spring.Sigh.

We haven't had much snow, but the ducks are done.

The geese don't' care because they hang out in the carport all day mooching Cheerios. And they make the ducks stay out.

So as far as the ducks are concerned, they can do without winter.
