Is Xerxes a pure Mallard or Muscovy/Mallard cross?

Now that he has all his feathers in, here's more pictures. He has barring on his back and above his wings. He is very quiet and has not quacked at all.

he looks pure to me. could be an eclipsed male. my little guy was very quiet, he also had his peeps longer then the females

Does not look like a muscovy cross. Is there any possibility that he is crossed with one of the mallard derived breeds?

He was supposed to be a blue pied muscovy. As far as I know the place I got the eggs from only had mallards and muscovy. We also hatched a cross breed, she has markings like a pied muscovy with no caruncles and some mallard patterned feathers.
