ISA-Brown page. :)))))))

I have some sprinklers in my pens that I turn on when it is quite hot out. The birds don't seem to mind. Some people use misters in their pens.

Is it bad that I have thought about having a remote controlled sprinkler for when I find my neighbor walking around in my backyard?

Hey guys!
I was wondering at what age your ISA Browns started laying? I had a friend who told me they start laying earlier than normal, is this true? I'm new to chickens so please be patient with me! Thanks!

Ps. They are quite curious and friendly little birds! This is 7 or 8 week old Penny:)

With my Isa girls they started laying around 18 weeks. The first ones were hard then a few with soft shells. Sometimes they lay soft shelled eggs while their body is working out the kinks. They're great layers, wonderful breeds to have for companionship. Mine even protected me from a bantam rooster I had. When he would try to bite my hands they'd attack him. Is kinda neat and made me feel good they loved me enough to protect me :D
