ISA Browns?

Okay, so these fellas are about a month old.

I got 26 unsexed, and I think they sent me 13 roos and 13 hens.

But, I am unsure if they are actually roosters. Their **** aggressive like roosters, I'll tell ya that.. (Except 2, they are so friendly at jump on me sometimes, the others are..a pain in the butt)

Anyways,I heard that the roosters are white, and that the hens are brown with some white in them?

If this is true, that thats what I have 13 roos and 13 hens.

You got it.

ISA Browns are sex-links so they are easy to discern male from female. The red over white ones are your girls and the all (or nearly) white ones are your boys.

I could be wrong but I believe they are "sex-linked" which means, they won't "breed true" if you breed your ISA Roo to a ISA Hen, you can no longer determine gender by color. It only works on the first cross a RIR and RI White.

I'll keep them JUSTTT a bit longer, just to make sure I know when I got them they were day olds & the hens were a slightly different color after a few days, while the roos now stayed completely white.

No sorry, you are right with having 13 of each since it was the original cross, just saying going forward, if you breed them you won't be able to tell what gender they are based on color

Correct. The pullets being reddish and the cockerels being mostly white is a first generation thing. Breeding them produces mostly white birds (for us) and the egg decreases ever so much in size in out generations.

PS from everything I read they are GREAT egg layers, so you should be SET with eggs

13 hens with approx 11 eggs a day!!!!!
