Isaac beloved roo of Speckledhen was attacked yesterday

That's my boy....vicious indeed....it is all about the Right of Ascension and taking his rightful place as number 1.

Now, doesn't this creature look ferocious to you??

He already has his T-rex stalking stance!

Oh, my goodness, this boy is indeed fearless. We held my EE broody while her three kids were playing and set Rex down among them. He had them all running for their lives! That includes Indy, his much larger, two-weeks-older brother! They were afraid of him! Good grief, he is a little predator!

Here is Indy, the older brother he bullied.

*snicker* I told the Delarex he must ascend to the top because only two of them got to stay so eliminating the competition, being fearless, and protecting the big girls were imperative. Rex knows his duty....now give him nomnoms and tell him I am proud of him and carry on!

Indys mama is thunking him periodically and not feeding the chicks any longer so I think her time as mama is about over. The three of hers are in the broody pen alone right now while she is in the main coop looking for a nest in which to lay. Rita, Rex's mom, is not on the spot for him, either, wanting more to be held and babied herself than to baby him, though she isn't showing signs of truly rejecting him. I think she'd be fine to go back to the main flock. What do you think would happen if I put the DelaRex into a 3x5 cage with Indy and the D'Anver pair to live? Could be a chickie war but may be necessary.

Hmmm risky but I shall call Rex today...put chickster on the phone and I shall tell him to behave and that he has secured the throne. Aside from that ... who knows.
