I have a Swedish Isbar rooster who is full-grown. He's never been able to crow loudly but now barely makes a sound. He seems healthy and active, no drainage noticed and is eating and drinking well. Does anyone know if this is common for this breed or if it is something I should be concerned about? would love it if I could breed this trait into his offspring.
Thanks!

Could be he has a slight respiratory infection going on. Usually it will resolve itself in a few weeks. Some roosters are louder than others. If he had a past infection it could have damaged his lungs and voicebox a bit.

Thanks! Will watch closely.
