On the topic of color, I find that it not only depends on the camera, but also the monitor. The same picture on my monitor looks slightly different on my work monitor and quite a bit different on my phone. So editing a photo to "true up" color is only trueing it up for your monitor. There is a color chart, the "online auction color chart", which is actually a 12 page booklet, which shows lots of shades of lots of colors. You could lay your egg(s) next the best color match(es) for the photo, or name the corresponding color number(s). Anyone who has this chart can easily reference their chart for an accurate color regardless of what their monitor is displaying or how the camera captured the color. JMHO. (Now where did I put my chart . . . ?)
