I get eggs almost every day from mine. They are still laying in the winter, they are my best egg layers.Thinking of getting some Isbar layers. How's their egg production? And how different are their eggs in size/color compared regular EEs?
Beautiful birds! It appears that most of them are not pure Silverudd’s Blue though. They might be a mix with Silverudd’s. Silverudd's don’t have crests or rose combs(well some might have a rose comb, but they shouldn’t lol)The first import birds are more correct and you don’t have as many undesirable traits pop up, in second import Silverudds you will sometimes see rose comb, larger birds, not true bbs coloring.Ok these are my silverudd, I’m not sure if they are pure bred or not. I had assumed the two with crests were not but after reading bits of this thread it sounds like the crests can be a silverudd trait?
What about my girl with a rose comb? Is that a trait of silverudd as well? My blue girl with a rose comb lays a minty green egg, so does the more white splash. The two with crests lay light bluish green eggs.
