my 8month old pair.

Just had my lone Isbar egg hatch early this morning at 3:30am!! I believe it will be a splash. She/he is a yellowy color, so a splash, right? My daughter wants to name it Nemo because it is the only one to survive. 4 eggs never started (rough shipping more that likely) and one died when the egg got dropped during candling! So sad....at day 16! So, here is Nemo. Am going to get a few chicks from a friends hatch so it won't grow up lonely. Will be getting them soon!

yes Nemo will be a splash...like my roo

No they are not sexable at hatch in any way. Feather sexing has to be done using two seperate breeding lines- one bred for fast feathering and one bred for slow feathering. Then when you cross the lines, the male and female chicks will have different feather patterns because of the cross.

It's a little cutie, congrats!

Hi all,
I just want to share a few photos of my 28 week old Blue Isbar roo "Gobei". My kids named him after a character in one of their favorite movies. He just happened to hatch the day they were watching it, good thing he turned out to be a roo :) He is a really sweet boy, we just love him to pieces!
