The children are healthy and growing. So far, I really like this breed.

Does anyone know what the new line of chicks look like? The black chicks. I know the old line had a little bit of white by the beak. Do the new ones have this or are they all black.

The new line has a LOT more variability right now. I will post a pic of some of mine later (I posted some a few pages back too). I have concerns about if they have maybe been outcrossed ( either here in the US, or in Sweden before they were imported).

Almost all of mine have red or grey-green eyes. I have several roosters with pea combs. Several look like black/blue copper Marans ( by color more than type). And one lays brown eggs.

But my rooster is gorgeous. So I'm a little torn as to how I went to proceed.

I ordered black bresse got day olds July first and this is my roo. I have several other orders of bresse and a lot of them have black legs. I'm waiting to hear what GFF says but this look like a isbar right.
