Well last night was five days into incubating. I had 14 out of 16 with clear veining. I'm not counting out the last two yet, since it's still early.

I have two "quiet" eggs that are probably going to do nothing, but I have nine huge, noisey, happy chicks; four blue, four splash and a black.

I have to go to work this morning, but I'll post pictures soon.

I'll try to get pictures up in the next couple of days. Right now I'm in full on kitchen mode. My County Fair competitions start this weekend and I've still gots lots of baking to do. The preserved food entries go in today and judge Saturday. The rest is turned in on Monday, with judging on Tueday. I have 64 (I think) entries this year. The easiest will be the 3 egg classes. The girls will do most of the work there!

Add to that, one of the dogs knocked the laptop onto the floor and broke it Sunday, I'm on a borrowed laptop from my son until I have time to mess with the problem. I have THOUSANDS of photo files on my laptop (none backed-up

), my trips to South & Central America, the Carribbean, all my macro work and on and on................

But the bright note, my chicks are HUGE, fluffy and cute.
