Isbar thread

Pics
i recently set 12 shipped isbar eggs in my brand-new incubator, and had only one hatch, too (a splash) -- fortunately i'd put a cross-breed egg from my own laying flock in as well, so there are two to keep each other company:

hope your one chick does well!

Aww, thats too bad, but at least you got one little one. It will probably really bond to you!

I had Salmon Faverolles and Silkies hatch so he's not alone. I was hoping for 2 or 3.

Quote: I, too, just had 1 little Isbar hatch early this morning. He's black, and I am so hoping he is a he.

I have 2 splash and 2 blue pullets that are 11.5 weeks old waiting for him to grow up. I almost put in some of my own eggs to hatch with these, but decided not to, so he is alone.

It should be very obvious by 12 weeks going by comb/wattles alone. Males will have large, reddish comb and long wattles, females will have a small and pale or black comb and very small wattles. Post a pic I'm sure someone here will give you an answer!
