Aloha. I'm new to this forum seeking help. I have a 10 yr old RI red that is sick. Today is day 3 that she will not eat. I gave her warm spa baths, twice olive oil inswrt to her vent, massage, she will take a few sips of sugar water every 4 hours; today she just sits. Very worried.

Welcome to BYC. Sorry about your hen - 10 years is a good life. Her symptoms may very well be the result of the aging process and may very well be terminal in indication. Good luck - keep her comfortable.

This is what you need and should have on hand and great for putting raw egg mixed with Apple Cider vinegar and fill up the crop very useful and make sure the hose is very secure ........

Ahloha you have taken very good care of her to reach 10 yrs. old. How long ago has she stopped laying? Older hens often have diseases of the reproductive organs. I am guessing that is what the problem is. Can you feel any internal lumps?
