Have a black bearded bow tie showgirl silkie someone GAVE us 4 yrs ago. Little did I know how much I was going to fall in love with her. I !now have a black silkie roo to mate with her, but he doesn't want anything to do with her only every OTHER chicken on the playing field. I penned him up with her for a week, still no fertile eggs. Not even sure/seen him mate with her. Help! I didn't realize how hard it is to find a bearded bow tie showgirl!! Wish I knew what I know now, back when we got her. All the other roos in years past were hot for our lil showgirl, but none were silkies. Frustrated.
