ISO Chickens for 4-H project

Hi, We are looking for some show quality chicks for a 4-H project this year. Last year we purchased from a hatchery, but that did not go so well. We are having a terrible time trying to find some acceptable 4-H chicks online that are not super expensive. If anyone has any suggestions, it would be appreciated. We are located in Oregon. Thanks!

Go to the Oregon state thread and see if someone there can help. Try to locate a local show and go and see the birds and meet some of the folks showing them. Many shows have a 'for sale' section.
