I have a question. I am hopefully getting more chickens at a chickenstock sunday, but I need a way to isolate them. I have a pen from my silkies, and I use it as a "grazing pen" for my chickens, but I can use it to isolate. What I have done in the past is just have an XL dog crate filled with shavings in there and just close it up at night to keep them safe from predators, but is it too cold now to just have a dog crate? If so, any suggestions?
Night temps are in the 30's

Haha well we dont have a guest bathtub, we have 4 people all who need to shower in the morning.

XL dog crate full of baby chickies sat in my laundry room for a few months. Or maybe the garage might be a good place? Good luck!
