Issue with new baby duck!!

Well, I hatched a duckling on thursday night. Hes the only one who hatched, but is doing ok by himself.

His eyes have started to glaze over. And he now can't open them. His eyes dont ever close, or really open. They just glaze over. He opens them sometimes. But its like hes trying to sleep, and cant get em closed. Its so weird!

Should I worry? I really dont want to loose my baby!

He died he was barley breathing, & I felt like he was suffering, so I kinda "smuthered" him . I couldn't see my baby like that...
