It’s been 7 years

Seems that way my friend had 30 chickens they actually went on his property cut his lock from his gate, got into his property and they were euthanizing his chickens when he came home there was some type of officer there as well
Well, I will just have to have 23 indoor chickens if that happens in my area. Let them try to come into my house.

We we put the babies in the coop today ( I think My wife and I are getting separation anxiety from them being out side but it’s warm here in California the next 2 weeks ( we put the light in there for them

Well we couldn’t leave them out the sounds they make help me sleep and not knowing if they are ok outside so they are outside in the morning and back in at night ( plus my wife has a baby that is her baby who she falls asleep with every night) then I put her with her sisters to sleep
I have convinced 2 of my friends to get chickens ( both of there wives were sent this app now they are hounding them to get chicks)

I know you are very attached to your chickens, so I'm going to recommend that you replace the chicken wire with 1/2" hardware cloth for their safety. Most urban backyards have visits from rodents, skunks, raccoons, bobcat, and even the occasional coyote or stray dog.
You will sleep easier.

At my old house I didn’t have to worry so much about this because we were further in the city at my new house. Our backyard is a golf course and there are coyotes but I haven’t had them in my backyard bothering my ducks asked for the chicken coop I think I’m also going to add a camera in the coop just for a piece of mind

I know that feeling. Since it will be nicer here for the next week, as in not dipping below freezing, we put my three nearly 2-month silkies out in the temp coop tonight with a cozy coop heater. I put a camera on them so I can make sure they're okay but I miss them being in here!!

We use Blink mostly as there's an app on my phone I can set temperature alerts on. We have a couple of deer cams too that work well, but they are the cheaper kind where you have to go pull the card out and put in your computer to see the pictures. They make those satelite kind but whoa pricey and a subscription is usually needed.

If it's just one camera you need and within Bluetooth distance, I've heard some use nanny cams.

Well gang it’s been 7 years since we last had chickens as California destroyed all the birds for new castle disease ( they killed all of them yet gave you a credit for replacing the chickens but it wasn’t valid) so now we will start again with a coop made 100% from pallets and 5 new babies to start so excited
:welcome :welcome :welcome:celebrateHI and WELCOME!!!!
