ok.. so..
my neighbors HATE my horses, then, we got a cow, then, they HAD a cow!!
so after they called the troopers on us three times, feared for their life from our cow (translate to 6 month old calf, steer), my husband and I joked about the blind rooster commercial on tv..
lo and behold within a week a friend of mine showed up on our porch with a rooster and two hens..
well having been chased as a child by chickens, this wasn't exactly what I had in mind, but have grown to love them and add to them. I have no idea what their breeds are, but they lay eggs and my family and I get alot of enjoyment out of them. Now we have decided to incubate and hatch some for the experience and some more hens hopefully. My incubator is warming as we speak and I am off on another chicken adventure (as if becoming a chicken proctologist wasn't enough when my hen became eggbound!!!)
I'm glad I have found your forums and look forward to all that you can teach me!
