I incubated 31 eggs 10 days ago because my LF hens have NEVER (cochins BR EE) gone broody. I get home from work to this....

Oh and 27 have great development so far only 1 in question, 2 duds and 1 quitter.

My son( 9) took these and she bit his finger

I had the exact same thing happen! Hatched 13 chicks last saturday (3/19), and found a broody sitting on a nest of TWNETY FOUR eggs this past saturay (3/26). go figure! Best of luck to you!
