Hildegard seemed to be on her way, super happy about being with her flock and having a great time sunbathing and kicking up dirt. I went out to open their coop door and picked her up to check on her like I do every morning and her crop was so big it was hanging down so far that if she bent down it would touch the ground. She had vomit leaking from her beak. I took her in the house and started massaging her crop and she start vomiting, I couldn’t believe how much dirt rocks grass bugs....just junk was in her from just one day. After emptying her crop I put her in the chicken hospital and watched her. She was mad as heck, just chirping her head off. She was pooping and running around so I put her back out with the others. I am wondering if I should be looking into a way to support her crop so that it doesn’t sit that low....any ideas?
