It has begun! *******Pics**********

Congrats! But yes, cedar=BAD. Get them off it ASAP. Pine is much better.

Also, I did a google search of the farm name. Images that came up showed alot of white meat.

Don't know for sure, but they could be Cornish crosses, the big 'meat breed' of the nation.

The pics I saw on a brief tour of their website were of yellow chicks and white eggs, which suggests Leghorns. But it could be Cornish X as well; they are a food processing company.

Since there's so much difference between a Leghorn and a Cornish X within just a few days or a week, you should know pretty quickly.

take them off the cedar chip> dealth put them on paper towel or get pine shaving. they need a lamp to warm them up so chip a light on side of box and point it to one concer.

they look like leghorns

i never u ceder chips shaving for my chickens n rabbits it will be a dealth sentence for them

Thank you for talking nicely without yelling about the "cedar chips." Those aren't even cedar chips, its pine chips made to look like cedar chips because I like they way they look

Congrats on your new chickies. I don't know what breed, but they'll probably be mostly white when the grow up (yellow down usually equals white feathers).

CUTE. You should name them Miranda, Emily and Andrea. Devil Wears Prada FTW.
