Thanks guys. I knew you'd all understand. I do have happy memories... Like yours, <3ChickenForever, she would jump up on my lap -- most willingly if I had some corn. She also took to helping me in the garden. I would go out to weed and in a few minutes she'd be there next to me, finding her own special tasties wherever I'd pulled up weeds. She was faithful in laying a gorgeous egg daily, even at 5 years old. And her egg song was always distinct... I could always tell when it was her, because her voice was... Well, buzzy. She got her name because she would make the cutest little buzzing noises when she was little and her voice was changing. She was the one who would be there first when I called them for treats... I miss her...
 
Im so sorry about Buzzy. i feel like crying just reading your post. i am dreading the day when i lose on of my girls theyre all so special to me they have become my little babies and i can empathise with you totally. Im sure Buzzy loved you very much and knew that she was loved you too. be happy that you gave her a very happy life that unfortunately most chickens simply dont get.
