No need to justify your build,
but that's great post and I agree with every word of it.

My niece’s always ask me why we have such a nice house & coop and it drives me mad. My reply-we spend our vacation money on our home, because it’s where we most like to vacation (they take 3 vacations a year), and our chickens are a big part of that. And we don’t have kids, so that provides A LOT of disposable income. To each his own; don’t let anyone rile you up for your decision to have nice things. It’s all relative.

I figure I can always rent out my shed/coop as a one-bedroom with screened porch if I ever get out of chickens!!
