It is finally finished. My first coop. (hopefully my last)

That is one of the best coop and runs I've ever seen!
Man, you did your homework, that's for sure.
You are gonna love that come the frigid ChiTown Winter!

One suggestion and one 'warning'.
Flip your nest access door so hinges are on the bottom.
They may choose to roost on the ladder in the run, since it's higher than the coop roosts.

Why move the hinges to the bottom? Birds coming out when you open? I thought it be easier for cleaning.

The ladder in the run is temp. I still have to fence off one side. It will be cut dramatically down.

Bedding and eggs falling out.
Yeah, easier to clean but gathering eggs happens everyday,
shouldn't have to clean too often.
I put pieces of vinyl in bottom of nests, and have a spare, so easy to swap out in case of a broken egg.

Note that hinge is a couple-three inches above bottom of nest.
And chain on edges of door makes door a handy shelf when open.

Honestly the front small window came from the inlaws she'd they took down. It's like a 20 years old window. The other two large windows came from a guy online that posted free windows. He had like 6 of them and I ended up choosing those two to incorporate in. I still have a skinny tall one that can fit between 16" studs if I want to add it. The are roughly I want to say 27x 35?

Looks like you just took the old sashes and built the coop framing to fit? Top hinging them is the way to go!

That's the one. And yes that's exactly what I did with the windows. I did however put 1*2 trim on the inside of the window as a stop/ weather thing when closed.
