It is HOT here. Fruit for ducks...to beat the heat.

Mine 10 older ones got a big new pool yesterday and they did a number on it. I was hoping since it's so big that I'd get a few days before having to drain and fill it but looks like if I'm lucky it will only be a couple. Its all poo in it, no mud or food. I keep the food bucket at the other end of the run. View attachment 2242914

Beautiful set up!
I swear it is like intentional effort to muck up the pool. :lau

thanks, I got the idea from another member on here and I love it so far. The pool has a drain in the back with a ball valve and drains into the back of the run out under the trees. No more bailing! Just hose it down, let it drain out and fill.

I do think I need to extend the ramp in the front all the way across. My little boy took quite a tumble off the "deck" yesterday when he missed the ramp.

What we see as a swimming pool I think they see as the toilet.
when I put my sweet little babies out in their own pen at 3 weeks old I'd clean up their pen in the morning and there were such little turds that it was hard to get them on the pitch fork. NOT anymore! Now they're almost like dog turds at nearly 7 weeks!

I have ours hooked to the sewer clean out so I can just drain and fill as often as we like. Well water is pretty much free and pretty decent water for a shallow well I dug by hand. We still have to catch them and put them in. They don't like being caught but they like being in there swimming. One crapped on me trying to get them in there. My grand daughter thought it was hilarious me.....not so much.
