It is scary what "information" you can find on the internet

I kept my marans in the house for 5 weeks and heard no more than peeping. I have a talking B&G macaw and a qauker parrot...... they both mimic the chicks now, but the chicks never picked up the talking. Maybe I need to move the chickens back in!!

When it comes to the internet and STUDIES that are published be very cautious also. 9 out of ten times I have checked studies published on the net up against the university archives where they came from I find they have been altered and often have complete sections missing. These days, the only way I believe it, is if there is a link to the original source and I have had a chance to read the original. Until then, I class any studies posted as suspect.

EXACTLY! It irks me to no end! In addition, even if they did a "study" on it... look at who funded it and who did the study... and even if there was a study on something, doesn't mean it is in practice in industry! I want the primary literature to read.
