It Is War Tonite!!!

we have been hit two nites in a row. the first nite we believe chicken was outside of pen. but, last nite my son's pet rooster that he raised was a victim along with one of his hens!! we are absolutely SICK

we believe it is raccoons. didn't know they could climb chain link fence until now. We will be READY tonite. they are gonna wish they didn't come back. Three STRIKES your OUT!! we will have 4 traps, electric fencing and we will be staking out waiting for them. IF they touch my calls DUCKS......I WILL LOSE IT!

I'd say if you don't have a dog get one!!If that's something you can or want to do of course,would definetly help.

I had a raccoon that kept coming, and now that I have a trap it hasn't shown up in 5 days. But I still make sure to set the trap each night.

Happy Hunting, and good luck....I had a dog for years and he never would confront a wild animal. I'm kinda glad too! He was a precious part of our family. He would bark, but not a mean bone in his soul. He would not bark at the deer tho, but I did see him play with a baby deer.

They can also reach through chain link, and if determined, pull it apart and squeeze through. Needs covering with hardware cloth along the bottom.

Racoons can climb any fencing without hot wire, even posts...even my wooden 5' tall wooden gate! Yes, put hardware cloth or sheet metal at least 2', preferably 3', up your chain link. They have pulled several of my hens through chain link and ripped their heads/wings off.

I hope you get them tonight. Will be rooting for you. I have stayed up many nights with my 12 g. and shot quite a few, also caught one in a trap. They are vicious killers.

Thank god my dog alerts and chases away anything that comes near the yard. Link sleeps outside and last night went off. i shined the light back there and there was a dog. We are fenced in but he stilllet them know, bark bark back of my girls~
