Well, I decided "a watched pot never boils" and as much as it killed me i went to bed at 1:30. Good thing.......nothing yet. I cant believe how much it kept moving. Maybe just getting into position

This reminds me of a post on 24/3 when Justasnak went through this, im trying to quote the thread but having probs, it was hilarious getting all the updates about her treading on the dog on her way to the Bator in the dark.
Just leave a nightligt on so you can see where you are going when it gets dark!!!
have fun hatching!

Lurky....Oh I am so happy for you. Yup....my first hatch was a nightmare for all around me. One would have thought I was watching my first born! It was so exciteing...but I was worn out. Running back and forth from the computer to the bator...and yes, stupid dogs!! They thought a great place to lay was in between ME and the BATOR! UGH!! LOL We all learned a lesson that week. LOL Hope you have your camera ready...we will want LOTS of pics!

I am getting so stressed out. When i saw the egg keep moving last night......i thought, lucky for me i wont have to throught the stress i see some people go through. The waiting and wondering seems so awful. So last night i though.......

Lurky,

First of all, congratulations on your chicks-to-be. If there's one thing I've learned over the years it's "Don't count your chickens til they hatch"!! LOL It takes a lo-ong time for some of them to hatch so don't give up hope and, most of all, don't do something stupid like try to give help before it's needed. 24 hours is not unusual at all from start to finish (start, meaning the first pip). Better go to the mall or the movies or something to keep your mind off what's going on in your bator. (Yeah, like that's even possible!) Keep us updated and lots of luck!!!!

Thanks......keep going out to do yard work which was my plan for the day off. I really have a lot to do. I will keep coming in to peek though....kinda goes without saying doesn't it? If anyone ever said they didn't.....we would all know they lie LOL
I will definately post pics if they make it out

So......i am learning that these things take time......like forever!!!!! My big excitement when i began this thread was probably her getting ready/into get out position. she is right now almost out of her shell. All it would take is one push but she doesn't seem to realize it. I left work at 4:35 instead of 5 because i was afraid i would miss it. Oh brother!!!!
