Something or someone killed one of my chickens and only left the head. I just wanted to know is there any animal that normaly leaves the head or should I listen to some rumors I heard and blame a a person?

Something or someone killed one of my chickens and only left the head. I just wanted to know is there any animal that normaly leaves the head or should I listen to some rumors I heard and blame a a person?
There are lots of animals that leave just the head
most likely an owl.
