Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes!! I know it has been months, but now I have remembered my password!!
As for an update on my birdies.. The three were dead, I got to counting and noticed one was missing. So that told me some kind of critter did it. My mallard, Quackers, finally made friends with the runners. Its funny because when they go left he goes right. Then when they run off, he flies low to the ground to keep up with them!! Something came on 3 different nights and got 3 of my runners. )-: The first night, the inside door on the covered pen was not shut. So whatever it was, climber a 4 ft fence. The next two, not sure because the pen was tightly secured. I bought a trap, and never caught anything. I decided to incubate some eggs. They are in the process of early hatch right now. Two of the runners made a nest at the pond and was sitting on them, then something came and sucked the eggs. We put some eggs in the trap, and of course have not caught anything. )-:
I am hoping whatever it was has moved on!
