Maybe you can go to the Utah thread and see if anyone is selling some chickens
Check out KSL.com classifieds, under Pets and livestock, subtopic - Poultry. Someone is picking mine up today, that I advertised on there.

Yeah, KSL, craigslist, petfinder, and there were some beauties for sale at the county and state fair, and chicks in the summer at the farm stores. They even had Japanese bantams this year which was oh so tempting...
there is a guy in Farmington giving away 4 two month old chicks for free on craigslist. CL is full of chicken in the farm section.
