It seems that my chickens have a clever spy...

In the past week I found her locked in the coop and run with them, just laying on the ground while the chickens pecked around her. Then yesterday I looked outside and she was hanging down from the roof of the coop, peering in the windows. The chickens were free ranging around the yard and my roosters did quite a double take when they saw her up there.

One of my hens, an off color SF, is obsessed with the cat and follows her around the yard! I want to take a video of it. The other day the chicken was following the cat, and the dog was following the chicken trying to sniff her bum. It was like some crazy train.

Hey! I use that same Lowe's playhouse coop for mine! Mine is painted red with white trim.

Has kitty experienced the wrath of a cranky chicken yet?

It makes a great coop! I bought it on sale for $75 last year.

Yep, one of the big hens in our old flock charged her last year and ever since then she has a healthy respect for all chickens. (Though I don't trust her around baby chicks, they look too much like the little wild birds she kills and eats!)
