Thanks to all of you for your kind words. You are correct, I am BEYOND excited about this. Half of me feels bad for all of their hard work going into this, but the other half is SOOOOO excited about the building! I asked for them to build a bigger coop, and I thought I'd be happy enough and lucky to just have them build that.... I am OVERJOYED with their decision to build this!

Isn't it great when the dh gets eggcited! My coop is not nearly so grand, but larger than originally intended and now we have 15 birds versus only 6 as originally intended. Keep the pictures coming so we can watch the progression of the Chicken Taj Mahal

What size is your hay storage? That is the next project.... The lean to and somewhere to store hay. We will be bringing the horse home this week, and plan to get at least 1 more horse. We'll probably stick with 1 because we are only on an acre and the corral is perfect for 2.
