It started out as a NEW COOP... ***UPDATED PIX*****

It all started because DD has worked hard in the last 2 years and saved to buy a horse. And of course, this years 16 (so far) chicks together with last years 10 means BIGGER COOP NEEDED. We decided that where our current coop is, would be the best place to have a horse corral.

The original idea was to convert the gazebo into a coop

The boys had something GRANDER in their thoughts. The first load of lumber arrives

They built a base to stand the test of time

Framing in walls, we will have a tack room on the south (left) side, a grainery in the center, and a coop on the north (right) side

The end of day 1

Day 2 beings....

They decided to add a LOFT

Day 3 shows it REALLY coming together. The girls are ALWAYS in the middle of things...

The girls laid an egg in these boxes before we even finished!!!

STAY TUNED FOR UPDATEES!!!!! My dear, wonderful hubby and hardworking awesome father in law are working their tails off each and every day making this building beyond my wildest dreams..... I am soooooooooooo thankful for their hardowrk and talent!!!

What an awesome idea as you can never have enough storage I find! I had one built on the back of the barn, an attached lean to type for hay storage. I would like to know WHY I did not have it made bigger than what it is ?????? The thing is always chock full.
Looks good, can't wait to see the finished product.
