Hi Everyone..

I just want to say THANK-YOU ALL for the wonderful and very informational reply's.I am putting up deer netting tomorrow and a friend of mine has given me a owl decoy that moves it's head in the wind...not to sure if the owl trick will work or not but a lady told me that it will keep the crows away as it is their natural enemy but she said the trick to it is that I need to move the owl around every few days otherwise the crows will know that it isn't real...Has anyone else heard of this or used an owl before??

Many Thanks

yes I have heard of that, the netting is your best bet though but the owl sure wont hurt! I use one in my garden although I mounted it stupidly so I cant move it around. I am sure allk the birds are laughing at it

I have never been fond of crows but have changed my mind. I heard a commotion in the yard and looked out to see a fox outside my chain link chicken enclosure. Two chickens were on top of their coop and the other inside. the crows were really squawking and when I went out the fox left and the crows followed it and continued squawking as they followed it through the fields and woods. I am really grateful the crows were there.

the week before I believe that same fox got one of my chickens. It disappeared with no trace. I think his route brings him back every week at the same time.
