I have a chick that is 4-5 days old he cries all day and all night. He has other chicks in with him the same size he has warmth and he has water and food at all times. The others do not cry EVER WHY IS HE CRYING SO MUCH!!!?!?!?!?!?! He is driving me insane what can I do for the little bugger?

I hate to bring you this news, but generally when I have one of those, it's a chick with something wrong internally and they often just don't thrive or pass away within a week.

I hope that's not the case, and that you can put a feather duster or stuffed animal in there an quiet it down. Sometimes that works.

Good luck!

Check his crop to make sure he's getting plenty to eat? Watch awhile until you actually see him eat and drink? Watch to make sure he's able to poop.....
If the other chicks wouldn't be too uncomfortable, perhaps increase the temp. in the brooder by just a few degrees.

Also check his butt and make sure there is no feces buildup blocking his bowel movements. That would definitely give him a tummy ache and make him cry.

Last year I had a chick that did that. The only consolation was when I picked it up and snuggled it. Then it would be quiet. It turned out to be a roo. Seems like some of them are little cry babies. I have read on here that other people have had little roo's do that too.
