It's 80℉ in my room and I was woundering does my baby turkey need the heat lamp still? He cherps all night and only sleeps when he is on me.

I agree that it depends on age and the temperature at night. The older the poult is and the warmer it is at night, the less dependent the poult will be on a heat lamp.

I think he was 5 days old. But he didn't make it. I left the on him just in case. He was fine one day but the next he was lazy and wouldn't pick his head up or walk.

Baby turkeys need a temperature more around 90 F at that age.
