PeggySue, I have been looking for an excuse to go back to visit home in Austin! That is about to make me do it.

I have the bananas, I have the cast iron and I have the grill- any chance you would give up the recipe, pleeeeeeeease?

Like your HENchanted Forest!

Thank yewwwwww!!

* 2 cups all-purpose flour
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 cup butter
* 3/4 cup brown sugar
* 2 eggs, beaten
* 2 1/3 cups mashed overripe bananas

I measured everything but the bananas, I had 3 to use so I used 'em, don't know if it was less or more than 2 1/3 cups.
My gas grill has 3 knobs/flames, I only use the outer two on about the lowest possible setting to get 350 when baking.... sure beats heating up the house!!

I just happen to have 3 over-ripe bananas. It's going to be an interesting experiment- I use pecan wood. This is going to be fun! Might as well through dinner on it while I'm at it.

Thank you a million times over!

Oh yeah...you are more adventurous than I! I'd have no idea how to regulate heat with wood!!
Funny how I rarely used my gas grill after I got it...just wasn't "the same" as wood and charcoal....then just recently I decided it would make a lovely oven out on my patio, next thing I know I'm practically turning my patio into a second kitchen!! My kitchen is so small and has pitiful counter space, but I have tons of room and a big ol' magnolia tree outside.
That's way more pleasant!! And, it's covered so rain doesn't stop me!
Let us know how it all turned out!!

ha ha ha when you said baking I thought you meant you were hot...

he he he...lost in translation...

Im goint to try your recipes for when my husband gets back in two weeks!

my baking days are over for awhile I got my electric bill today so I have got to cut back on usage drastically. I can't dry my clothes outside it won't stop raining and I don't have the space to do it in the house. so something has got to go.
