The dollar store had these ice cube trays, 3- $1.... The grocery store had some strawberries, blueberries and cherry tomatoes on sale. (Check with the stock boys to see if they have damaged or losses in the back, you can pick up fruits and veggies for cheap. I never give them moldy or rotted, but most of the time there are salvageable stuff in them.) Roo-tabega LOVES tomatoes! By the way, did you know that you should NEVER feed your chickens tomato plants. They hold the same chemical that potato leaves have and are deadly to your feathered freeeennnnns! So, I came home and made them some berry icy treats... (See what I did there 
) I also designated one of their large feed bowls as a mini pool for the next few days. I fill it with cool water and dump in some of the ice treats. The Barred Rocks will actually stand in it, the Brahmas, not so much. But the Roo's are loving bobbing for tomatoes.
