It's a HOT one today.

Boy it's not like this to be so hot in WI but but man o man...it's only 71 but REALLY muggy and I'm dying here. It's suppose to get up to 95 with a heat index of 105 -110

I will be putting ice in all the chickens waterers today that's for sure. Everyone is already headed down into the cool woods area. Glad we have tons of trees around here for them to stay cool. There is one pen that has to stay penned up in their own yard so I will have to watch them close today. It's my younger chicks and my bantam pen. How hot is it by you today??

YES!!! Expected to be 99 today. Heat index 105.

Have you ever wondered about heat index and wind chill? Why do they have to tell you the real temperature is 99* but it will feel like 105*? Why not just say "It's going to be a hot beegeeper outside"? Don't give me hope that it will only be 99 then crush my dreams with it's going to feel like 105-110. Just say 110* so that I can be plesently surprised that it only feels like 108* outside
