In one fluid motion, Rayko took a knee in front of his queen and confessed his heavy heart of his failure to save the king. He threw himself upon the mercy of her court and he held his breath, as he awaited her verdict of his guilt.
Lillia watched him closely and sighed, thinking.
Honestly, she thought that the death of the king, who was the only one causing problems, could be beneficial. But she of course couldn't actually say that. She could just say something similar to that.

"Rayko...You're not going to be punished. I don't think anybody but the king himself is to be blamed for his death." Lillia told Rayko honestly. "The humans know about us mostly because of Xylo killing them. If he had stopped, humans probably wouldn't be coming here. I told him to stop, but he didn't listen, and so he caused his own death. I will not blame any of my guards for his death, including you."

"I hear you giggling, Vivian. You wouldn't be spying upon me while I'm bathing, would you? " Reptar called out mischievously. Knowing there was nothing to see with his bird bath.
Vivian giggled again, before saying "No, you're a condor. You only look good in your human form. There's nothing to see." She giggled some more, amused at their conversation.

Rayko shuddered at the uncontrolled sob that escaped his lips. He realized then, that he hadn't expected to live. When he'd gathered himself, he spoke softly, " Your compassion knows no bounds. Thank you, my queen. You have lifted my heavy heart of burden, so that I can soar once more." He then leaned down to kiss the hem of her gown upon the floor with reverence.

Leydren caught sight of Lyra as she was coming down the hallway. She gasped in delight at the unexpected reunion. "Lyra! Is that really you? Oh, how long has it been, I wonder? Welcome home, I do hope you plan to stay." She asked excitedly, as she hurried over to greet her good friend.
Lyra smiled at Leyden and greeted her friend, chuckling lightly "Yes, it is me. I am alright, how are you?"

Vivian giggled again, before saying "No, you're a condor. You only look good in your human form. There's nothing to see." She giggled some more, amused at their conversation.

"Oh? Well, what if I confessed to loving this form the best. Would my Condorness (not a word, but I like it. :p ) leave you longing for my other handsome face?" Reptar taunted her playfully, as he fluttered up the riverbank to dry off.
