Once it was dark, Lillia returned to the castle. Flying into her bedroom window, she pulled a small book out of her dresser and sat in her bed to read.

"I'm a fan of Galahad myself." Reptar stated as he pushed open the heavy oak door at the top of the stairs and stepped out to hold the door for Lyra. He snagged the lantern off the hook in the wall, as he did so.
Lyra nodded and walked out to the ramparts to find a place to sit with him so they could read together "He's a good one."

Reaper came to sit beside Lyra and leaned aginst the outer stone wall and crossed his legs out in front of him. He set the lantern down off to the side and held his hand out for the book. He admitted sheepishly, as he looked to her, "I never trusted Lancelot. He had eyes only for Guinevere, regardless of his sworn loyalty to his king."

"Yes" Lyra said and handed the book back to him "He was a good knight in battle, but he wasn't a very good person. No integrity. He had vowed himself to his wife and king and betrayed them both for the queen."

Reptar settled in and thumbed through the pages to find his favorite parts, before he started reading to Lyra in smoothly cultured French. He made great efforts to entertain her. Oh how he'd missed her. He hasn't known how much so, until she'd been gone. Now that his friend was back, he was genuinely happy.

Lyra loved this. He was a natural storyteller and made it come alive with his French. She settled in and looked up at the stars as she listened, soon closing her eyes to simply listen to him, tell the story.
